Long Beach (Gorey Beach) in the Royal Bay of Grouville is situated east of the island and is a wide golden sandy beach with calm sheltered waters making it perfect for swimming. With easy access and shallow waters, this is a popular choice for families and young children.
During the summer months, you can enjoy a variety of watersports from water skiing, wakeboarding, paddleboards, canoes, banana rides, and speed boat trips.
At the northern end of the beach is Gorey Harbour with the majestic medieval Mont Orgueil Castle (Gorey Castle) as an impressive backdrop. You will find plenty of local cafes, kiosks, restaurants, pubs and small shops and there’s a children’s playground by the beach too.
There are no lifeguards at this beach.
There is disc, paycard and PayByPhone parking at Gorey Harbour and on Gorey Coast Road with free public car park at Long Beach but on sunny days can fill up.
Visitors can reach the beach via bus route 1, 1a, 2 or 13 of the public bus service.
