Description
Every penny that the charity raises goes directly to help the school and the farm

Education Fund for Luweero Orphans’ (‘EFLO’) was formed in 2007 with the original purpose of funding a primary school that had been built in that year, following a Jersey Overseas Aid (‘JOA’) project to Luweero, in Uganda. The primary objective of the school is to look after and provide education facilities for orphaned children, whose parents have died through HIV / AIDs.

The charity was initially set up by the 15 volunteers who took part in the 2007 Overseas Aid Project, but has increased its membership by recruiting volunteers who have taken part in subsequent JOA projects to the same area in 2008 and 2009, as well as recruiting their family members and friends. There are now over 35 active members.
