BUILDING SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS
Camerons recognise both the business imperative and moral obligation to behave in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable manner. From health and safety to environmental protection, we’re committed to making sure that the actions we take today will help make tomorrow a better place. We are dedicated to achieving excellence in all facets of construction and committed to the highest standards of both management and technical skills.
TRAINING
Camerons have invested in a training and development programme to achieve the objective to have a skilled local workforce that is able to work safely and professionally within the construction industry. Development is based around all staff being “universalists” and having exposure to a wide range of business activity. We feel that offering staff across the board experience will not only help them identify where their current key skills are but also offers them a more open idea of the business as they develop their skills and move up through the ranks.
SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY
Camerons has a long tradition of getting involved in the local community and charity projects from sponsoring and taking part in the Cheshire Homes’ Kitchen Inferno, working on the redesign for the new drop-in centre for Macmillan Jersey to participating in the Jersey Hospice Care Dragon Boat Racing, we are keen to support the local community as much as possible. In 2018 we launched a pilot progrmme with Le Rocquier School to introduce to introduce Design, Engineer, Consult! (DEC!), a STEM based learning programme based on the built environment, which is now on the full time curricular, recognised as a GCSE nd A level equivalent and operates in 6 schools across the Island with over 1,000 students now studying DEC!.

We strive for continuous improvement in our Health and Safety performance. This contributes to the success of every project and client satisfaction. We adopt national standards in our Health and Safety training programme which involves all of our staff. Our teams work closely with community stakeholders to mitigate any risks to the general public. We are founding members of the Behaviour Safety Leadership Programme designed to improve standards and culture in our local industry.
