Cinefest - Shorts

Showing in the Jersey Museum on Friday 17th January from 5pm:

a screening of a selection of short movies introduced by a talk from one of the movie’s directors himself, Yannik Ruault!

• Reflet dans l'oeil du chat, Yannik Ruault: Two children visit a painter to learn drawing. When they enter the house of the Master, under the eye of the cat Balthus, they also enter his work. A film in which the director Yannik Ruault experiences an organic dimension of the camera, using the camera like the eyes of a cat.

• La quête de l'humain by Mélina IENCO, Lucie JURIC, Caroline LEIBEL, Faustine MERLE, Claire PELLET: In a fantasy world, a griffin embraces his fate and goes on an epic journey to find a legendary creature : The Human.

• A coeur perdu, Sarah Saidan: Omid is an Iranian immigrant who has come to France with his family. One evening, in the street, he is attacked and stabbed in the heart. But Omid gets up again! At the hospital, the doctors' diagnosis is formal: he has no heart. Would it have stayed in Iran?

• Irréprochable, Anaïs Lonkeu: When you're black, you have to work twice as hard as the others, otherwise you will disappear. Laura, an absolute fan of Harry Roselmack, watches her favorite tv host disappear. Will she disappear as well if she gets bad grades at school?
