Victorian Christmas - Noué Victorien

Step back in time and into the Victorian House this festive season. Discover the history of Christmas by visiting each room and chatting to characters you might have met on a Victorian street.

Listen to stories of Christmases past in front of the fire or head to the attic, if you dare, for ‘penny dreadful’ tales. Sing-a-long to carols with our busking musicians, join in with Mrs Briggs’ traditional parlour games, ask Professor Fortuna what 2025 has in store for you and meet Father Christmas himself.

Christmas at Jersey Museum welcomes all the family! We invite any visitors who would like to wear Victorian dress to get into the Christmas spirit and come dressed for the era that invented many of the festive traditions we enjoy today.
