2004 Alfa 156 1.8TS Sportwagon - free £ 0

Owned nearly 14 years, this 156 has been an excellent, reliable drive and remains in regular use but is now reaching a point where it will soon need a sizeable spend on replacement parts which, with fitting at professional charges, far exceed the value of the vehicle.

The following are now imminent requirements:

• new cambelt/waterpump (due 2025 on 5-year replacement cycle)


• brake discs


• rear engine mount


• roll bar drop links


• steering rack track rods


• slow leak from power steering system

Cosmetically, it has no concerning corrosion but does have considerable lacquer peel on roof and bonnet. Plenty of scrapes on sides and all 4 corners.

Most recently serviced in April ’24 (service history since 2011), the car remains fully roadworthy and rather than see it go to scrap, I’d like someone to take it on, give it a deserved refresh and keep it on the road. Free therefore, to a new owner.
